HERE WE GO!!!

I want to start by saying THANK YOU SO MUCH to all those who contributed to this expedition! I really should have posted something sooner but the enormity hadn't quite hit me yet. So here I am in the Detroit airport just now realizing how lucky I really am for this opportunity. This week I was at girls camp and I had to leave early to make my flight this morning. I was looking forward to seeing my cousins who live in Minnesota before I left. Just as we were leaving the campsite my Aunty Angie called me and said it was too late they had to head back to Alpine to get the little ones to bed. I was so sad! I hardly ever get to see my cousins because of the huge distance between us. I told my mom when I got home I was driving down to Alpine...she said no. Then I go down in my room and my cousin Brin was sitting on my bed!!! My family is the best ever! That was just what I needed to set my trip off right! So thank you family! I love you!

Keep checking in for more little snippets of the few weeks that will change my life!

P.S. (a note to my camp directors who promised to take a look at my blog every so often)  Thanks a million for camp! I'm excited to take everything I learned to "bloom" in India :) Love you ladies!
